Shreehari Ganesh Aney is born on April 13, 1950, in Poona
He completed his school in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and secured B.Com and LL.B. Degrees from the Poona University. He studies Law at the ILS, Poona

He was. Awarded the Rotary International Scholarship in 1989 and proceeded to USA for professional studies.He taught Press Laws to the Department of Journalism; and Labour and Industrial Laws in the Post Graduate Department of Labour Relations in the Nagpur University. He is a recognised Guide of the Nagpur University for Constitutional Law.
He was designated Senior Counsel in December 12, 1992.He was President of the High Court Bar Association, Nagpur from 1994 to 1997.He was a member of the Maharashtra State Law Commission from 2001 till 2013.
He was Advocate General of Maharashtra from 2015 to 2016, and ex-officio Chairman, Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa. He sat on the Coordinating Committee of International Voluntary Services, UNESCO, Paris, France from 1991 to 1996. He was its Vice President, Asia Region, from 1994 to 1996.He is a Trustee and member of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.He is Member, Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi, Indian Institute of International Law, New Delhi, Rashtrabhasha Prasar Samiti, New Delhi and Gandhi Seva Ashram Samiti, Nagpur. He has founded the weekly Vidarbha Mirror in 2017 devoted to reporting news concerning Vidarbha and the movement for Vidarbha’s statehood.He is the founder President of Vidarbha Rajya Agadhi,(VIRAA), a registered political party engaged in the creation of the State of Vidarbha.He was the Central President of National Federation of New States from 2016 to 2021.
His published books include Vidarbha Nama and Vidarbha Gatha which narrate the history of the Vidarbha area and the movement for Vidarbha’s statehood, Voice of Reason which is a selection of his grandfather Loknayak Bapuji Aney’s Parliamentary speeches, and Important Documents Concerning Vidarbha.
